As a responsible, forward-looking and dynamic organisation, we care about the well-being of our community and our carbon footprint.
We are concerned about the growing threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the risk it poses to the well-being of our community.
Given the current uncertainties, after consultation with other industry leaders and taking into account best practice as advised by the World Health Organisation, we have decided to reimagine the regional awards scheduled to take place in June and July this year.
In reimagining the awards programme, we want to not only put the health and well-being of our community first but also take the opportunity to create something different and extraordinary by transforming our regional awards into a digital and online experience.
This change does not impact the nominations, applications or regional judging process which will still happen remotely and online.
However, the regional winners will now be announced online as part of a new and exciting approach, and we will use our powerful digital presence to celebrate and promote their many achievements.
We also understand many women value the opportunity for face to face celebrations, networking, camaraderie and support that the regional awards ceremonies provided.
We will, therefore, beholding a bigger and better than ever national final on the 27th of November 2020, which will celebrate regional winners, culminating in the announcement of the national winners.
The programme as in previous years will incorporate exciting keynotes with industry-leading speakers and carefully curated expert panels to share thought leadership on how we work together to create a more safe, healthier, gender-balanced, diverse and inclusive workplace for all. The theme for this year’s programme is Balanced Leadership.
This dynamic approach will enable us to extend the awards into a truly global programme for our increasingly global community in 2021.
The national awards and summit will, as usual, be held in the centre of the UK at the iconic Royal Armouries in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
It will be the climax of our end of year programme and represent our biggest ever event, showcasing and celebrating talented, inspiring and pioneering women and male allies.
WE HAVE ALSO EXTENDED OUR DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES. NEW DEADLINE IS 29th May.
