Since stepping down from Forward Ladies earlier this year, Etta Cohen has begun a brand new food-related venture. With her vast range of networks and a love for old-fashioned afternoon tea, Etta has turned her attention to creating an online platform for the public to discover ‘places for meeting and treating’.

Scones, Jam & Cream is a website created for people who not only want to find a great location for afternoon tea, but can submit a review of their chosen destination. Members can also sign up to take advantage of offers and savings from featured establishments across the world or submit their own blog post of a special experience.

Many people are already expressing their fondness for the website with one user commenting ‘this is absolutely amazing, what a great idea!’. There are also several well-established venues who have said how impressed they are including Mosborough Hall Hotel in Sheffield. Helen Fairey, sales manager at the hotel, said; “it is so lovely. We have spoken with the staff and they all truly love the website”.

Scones, Jam & Cream is also proving to be popular around the globe with one user submitting a blog post about their experience of afternoon tea in Singapore!

Over the next couple of months, Etta will be inviting restaurants, hotels, cafes and tea rooms to take advantage of the website in preparation for the official launch in February.

Etta says she took inspiration for her new venture from the early days of Forward Ladies. She explained: “When Forward Ladies began it was four ladies meeting up for tea and sandwiches. It was something we all enjoyed and we were always made to feel special in each venue.
